Vent-A-Hood welcomed former First Lady Laura Bush as keynote speaker for 84th anniversary celebration
On Friday, May 5, 2017, Vent-A-Hood celebrated its 84th anniversary with an all-day event filled with plant tours, Texas barbecue and live entertainment. Following the National Distributor Meeting on May 4, the celebration with longstanding distributors, retailers and suppliers kicked off with an early morning breakfast and a special keynote presentation from Former First Lady, Mrs. Laura Bush.
Mrs. Bush spoke about her “family business” and life in politics, life as a grandmother and her new focus with husband and former President, overseeing The George W. Bush Institute at The George W. Bush Presidential Library in Dallas, TX. She reiterated that freedom is the main focus of the institute’s initiatives and spoke on the theme of a free enterprise system – a founding principle of businesses in America, such as Vent-A-Hood.

Vent-A-Hood showcased its one-of-a-kind 3D experience at the 2017 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show. Attendees were invited to the Vent-A-Hood booth to build the range hood of their dreams, using the company’s proprietary 3D Build-A-Hood program. Consumers can choose widths, CFM, ceiling heights, finishes, and decorative treatments for the entire Vent-A-Hood product line.
Vent-A-Hood also debuted a new model and a new emphasis on V Line hoods, featuring the exclusive Power Lung blower, which offers filterless grease extraction through the use of active canopy engineering and a centrifugal blower wheel. V-Line is available in under cabinet, wall mount, and liner insert configurations with popular powder coated paint colors or stainless steel.

Vent-A-Hood has unveiled a tutorial video showing the capabilities of the Build-A-Hood portal and how easy it is for consumers to design the hood of their dreams. Consumers can choose widths, CFM, ceiling heights, finishes, and decorative treatments for the entire Vent-A-Hood product line. Model numbers and prices update in real time based on every selection consumers make during their online designing experience. Consumers can download JPEG and PNG images from every angle of the 3D range hood. Dimensional drawings, which are useful for consumers focusing on kitchen redesign and planning, can be exported in PDF format to ensure proper placement, size, and design.
Vent-A-Hood celebrates employee Ralph Eli’s 20th anniversary
In December, Vent-A-Hood celebrated employee Ralph Eli’s 20th anniversary and induction into the Vent-A-Hood Hall of Fame. The occasion included a ceremony at corporate headquarters and CEO Skip Woodall presenting him with a ring and a name on the esteemed Hall of Fame plaque. Eli is the latest inductee into a growing club that has come to represent the dedication and loyalty of an incredible workforce for the Vent-A-Hood manufacturing family. As a proud Made In America institution, the company continues to pride itself on the long-standing jobs that have attracted and kept the best skilled workforce in the industry.

The ads highlight Vent-A-Hood’s uncompromising dedication to kitchen ventilation, which drives the company to constantly improve and innovate. On November 21, Vent-A-Hood proudly dedicated its showroom and learning center in honor of the late Edward C. Gober, a beloved longtime past employee. His exemplary commitment and service to the company paved the way to educate our North American distributors, appliance dealers, and kitchen designers on the Vent-A-Hood product line and our superior patented technology. That focus continues as we host some 500 guests from across our distributor network in our learning center every year.
