Skip along with Executive Vice President Blake Woodall and Regional Sales Director Bill Woodall speak about the values, culture and dedication to manufacturing excellence in America that has been passed down from generation to generation to keep Vent-A-Hood in a class by itself.

Attendees were invited to the Vent-A-Hood booth to build the range hood of their dreams, using the company’s proprietary 3D Build-A-Hood program. Consumers can choose widths, CFM, ceiling heights, finishes, and decorative treatments for the entire Vent-A-Hood product line.

Vent-A-Hood also debuted a new model and a new emphasis on V Line hoods, featuring the exclusive Power Lung blower, which offers filterless grease extraction through the use of active canopy engineering and a centrifugal blower wheel. V-Line is available in under cabinet, wall mount, and liner insert configurations with popular powder coated paint colors or stainless steel.

KBIS, in conjunction with the National Kitchen and Bath Association [NKBA], is an inspiring interactive platform that showcases the latest industry products, trends and technologies. KBIS is the voice of the kitchen and bath industry and has been for more than 50 years.

Introducing the “Build-A-Hood” Video

Vent-A-Hood has unveiled a tutorial video showing the capabilities of the Build-A-Hood portal and how easy it is for consumers to design the hood of their dreams. Consumers can choose widths, CFM, ceiling heights, finishes, and decorative treatments for the entire Vent-A-Hood product line. Model numbers and prices update in real time based on every selection consumers make during their online designing experience. Consumers can download JPEG and PNG images from every angle of the 3D range hood. Dimensional drawings, which are useful for consumers focusing on kitchen redesign and planning, can be exported in PDF format to ensure proper placement, size, and design.

Ralph Eli Joins Vent-A-Hood’s Hall of Fame

Vent-A-Hood celebrates employee Ralph Eli’s 20th anniversary

In December, Vent-A-Hood celebrated employee Ralph Eli’s 20th anniversary and induction into the Vent-A-Hood Hall of Fame. The occasion included a ceremony at corporate headquarters and CEO Skip Woodall presenting him with a ring and a name on the esteemed Hall of Fame plaque. Eli is the latest inductee into a growing club that has come to represent the dedication and loyalty of an incredible workforce for the Vent-A-Hood manufacturing family. As a proud Made In America institution, the company continues to pride itself on the long-standing jobs that have attracted and kept the best skilled workforce in the industry.

Vent-A-Hood rolls out a new ad campaign for 2017. The campaign’s theme is “Uncompromising,” with the first ad recently appearing in Retail Observer. The ads highlight Vent-A-Hood’s uncompromising dedication to kitchen ventilation, which drives the company to constantly improve and innovate. Be on the lookout for ads in the nation’s best industry trades where each ad highlights a different aspect of Vent-A-Hood products that continue to make the brand a leader in cooking ventilation.


Honoring Ed Gober

Vent-A-Hood dedicated its showroom and learning center to the late Edward C. Gober.


On November 21, Vent-A-Hood proudly dedicated its showroom and learning center in honor of the late Edward C. Gober, a beloved longtime past employee. His exemplary commitment and service to the company paved the way to educate our North American distributors, appliance dealers, and kitchen designers on the Vent-A-Hood product line and our superior patented technology. That focus continues as we host some 500 guests from across our distributor network in our learning center every year. New Hires and Promotions

Vent-A-Hood, the company that created the modern residential range hood, has announced several new hires and promotions throughout the year:


nh-jasonduron-500x600Jason Duron has been hired as a Regional Account Manager Sales. Duron, who started at Vent-A-Hood in September, is responsible for increasing sales in the southeast region. His goal is to educate accounts in his region about the topnotch Vent-A-Hood products.
nh-jasonduron-500x600Irma Jaques has been hired as Director of Human Resources. Jaques, from Coppell, TX, is PHR certified since 2004 and has worked in Human Resources for more than 20 years in the manufacturing, telecommunications and healthcare industries prior to coming to Vent-a-Hood in July. As the Director of Human Resources for Vent-a-Hood she is responsible for the HR strategic planning which includes: staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training, payroll, performance management and development for all of the company’s employees.
nh-jasonduron-500x600Lisa Ward is now the Executive Assistant to CEO Miles Woodall III and VP of Marketing Blake Woodall. Ward, from Health, TX, joined Vent-A-Hood in early March. She previously worked at Jimmy Dean Meat Company and Metromedia Restaurant Group, then took time off to focus on raising her two daughters, and decided to return to the corporate world to work for the pioneer in kitchen cooking ventilation.
nh-jasonduron-500x600Bill Woodall has been promoted to Regional Sales Director for the Midwest. Woodall, who has been with Vent-A-Hood since 2011, is responsible for furthering distributor relationships and managing all sales activities in the upper Midwest territory. His goal is to educate accounts in his region about premium Vent-A-Hood products and to maintain close working relationships with those contacts. He will also be assisting with marketing and other sales tasks along with special projects.

Vent-A-Hood Patent

Another patent was awarded to Vent-A-Hood – this one for the ARS ductless hood.

Vent-A-Hood has some of the oldest and longest-standing patents in range hood ventilation from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Over the decades, the company has become something of an expert in the leadership position and design requirements it takes to earn a patent. Today, that includes its newest patent for the Air Recovery System (ARS) Duct Free Range Hood.  While ductless hoods have been on the market for some time, Vent-A-Hood vowed not to manufacture a ductless range hood until a design met its high standards for collecting cooking contaminants and cleaning the air to the best of abilities. The 4-phase cleaning system of the ARS duct free hood was the product that finally reached Vent-A-Hood’s high engineering standards — and, likewise, the unique recognition of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. In a recent ceremony, the official patent was presented by CEO Miles Woodall III on a plaque to Bob Seloff, Vent-A-Hood engineer, for his instrumental role in developing the ARS line. As part of National Manufacturing Month, CEO Miles Woodall III was interviewed on KRLD’s “CEO Spotlight” show to discuss the iconic success of Vent-A-Hood for National Manufacturing Month. Vent-a-Hood business continues to thrive after more than 80 years in business because the company continues to innovate, such as the introduction of the world’s first interactive online 3D hood building experience called Build-A-Hood. This new 3D experience allows customers, kitchen designers and the public at large to get a better and more comprehensive online design experience that will help ensure they get the exact Vent-A-Hood range hood desired by selecting widths, CFMs, ceiling heights, finishes, and decorative treatments. Woodall also discussed the company’s commitment to manufacturing the hoods in America, even when it would be easier and less expensive to manufacture overseas. With a focus on quality, product innovation and job creation for skilled workers, Vent-A-Hood remains a Made In America pioneer with an eye on the future.
